Manulife Bank Select offers you the choice between two fee structures for the banking portion of your account:

1) Monthly-fee account

You can make the following banking transactions -- free of charge and on an unlimited basis -- if your Manulife Bank Select chequing account has a positive balance of $5,000 or more at the end of each month: 

  • Direct deposits (Canadian funds)
  • Automated banking machine (ABM) deposits and withdrawals at ABMs bearing THE EXCHANGE® Network logo within Canada1
  • Online, mobile and telephone banking services
  • Access-card purchases within Canada1
  • Pre-authorized payments
  • Bill payments
  • Fund transfers
  • Cheque writing (Canadian funds)
  • Mail-in cheques (Canadian funds)

If your account balance is less than $5,000 at the end of each month, our $16.95 monthly fee will apply. The monthly fee will be reduced to $9.95 per month when you turn 60 years old.

Fees for the following transactions will be waived if your chequing account has a positive balance of $5,000 or more after the transaction has been made:

  • ABM transaction1
  • Access-card purchase outside Canada (direct payment)1
  • Interac® e-Transfer

All of our account fees, as well as fees that are either charged directly by other institutions or require additional administrative support, are available on manulifebank.ca.

2) Or, you can choose our pay-per-transaction plan. With this option, you get free, unlimited monthly:

  • Deposits (Canadian funds)
  • Automated banking machine (ABM) deposits in Canada, where THE EXCHANGE® Network logo is displayed
  • Online, mobile and telephone banking services
  • Fund transfers
  • Pre-authorized payments
  • Cheque writing (Canadian funds)
  • Mail-in cheques (Canadian funds)

Fees for the following transactions are waived if your account has a positive balance of $5,000 or more after the transaction is made:

  • ABM transaction1
  • Access-card purchase1
  • Interac e-Transfer
  • Bill payment

Our pay-per-transaction fees, as well as fees that are either charged directly by other institutions or require additional administrative support, are available on manulifebank.ca.  

Fees are subject to change with at least 30 days of prior written notice. Clients who have chosen not to receive paper statements can find any changes posted online. All fees presented on a per item basis, unless otherwise stated. Charges are automatically applied to your account.

Your Manulife Bank Select monthly statement makes managing your account and tracking your savings easy.

You’ll receive either an electronic statement or a monthly paper statement by mail, based on the selection you made when you applied for your account. You can change your selection anytime through your online banking service or by calling us.

Please review your statement each month. If you discover any errors or discrepancies, please contact us right away.
